Christmas Open House In Kota Kinabalu On Dec 27

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 (Bernama) -- The national Christmas open house is to be held at the Padang Merdeka in Kota Kinabalu on Dec 27.

Sabah Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Ahmadshah Abdullah and his wife Toh Puan Dayang Masuyah Awang Japar, and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, are expected to attend the open house, organised by the Information Communication and Culture Ministry on the theme of 1Malaysia - People First, Performance Now.

Other leaders expected to be present are Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman and Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim, the ministry's public relations division said in a statement on Wednesday.

It said leaders would mingle with the people and donations would be made to the less fortunate, handicapped and old as well as welfare homes during the occasion.

Guests will be entertained to a variety of traditional foods and entertainment by artistes such as Iqwal, Stacy, Banumila, Karen Tan and Jamal Abdillah, the statement said.
