KT Photo Walk!

Ever since I know this particular individual during a business enquiry, we have never failed to contact one another and keep the friendship going.

His inclination for nature and photography was something I only recently found out couple of months ago. Then he had told me that his love for photography drives him wanting for more and working towards refining his skills with an SLR camera.

Today, he suddenly pinged me on chat to request to check-out his latest photography skills for comment.

Judging from the pictures posted on his blog, I have nothing else but to "kow-tow" to this gentleman from the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia who lives a simple and quiet life doing photography within the Terengganu state.

His blog is simply named KT Photo Walk which I believe we would be seeing more beautiful scenery of KT through his camera lenses.

Keep up the good work!

His works can be access from http://ktphotowalk.wordpress.com!

RM320 for H1N1?

H1N1 was a "killer" influenza worldwide and possibly brought business to a near standstill. Yet, the threat is not over as the warnings of a larger scale H1N1 is impending. At least in Malaysia, the men are still fearful of the B1N1!

If H1N1 has a price, would it be RM320?

Caught up with this poster in KK, Sabah and was just wondering if it was an advertisement for H1N1 of the poster itself cost RM320!

Meeting Optimus Prime in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

A chance of a lifetime to meet Optimus Prime in Malaysia!

Me                     : Is that you Optimus Prime?
Optimus Prime    : Yea, It's me.
Me                     : What are you doing here?

Optimus Prime    : We are on a mission .... a private mission that is!
Me                     : What mission?
Optimus Prime    : Parrrtttttyyy......
Me                     : What party?
Optimus Prime    : Haven't you heard of the Motor Fest in Tanjung Aru over the weekend? Those motorbikes
are awesome and would feature much in our next mission.
Me                     : You were reported stolen from the studios and now you are here in KK!

Glad to see some creativity and pretty sure the owner of this 4 wheel drive vehicle is a great fan of Transformers!

Toilet ratings?

Ratings are everywhere for food preparation, hotels and etc to manage quality and adhere to standards. However, if there is a rating for toilets, the toilet in this picture is only rated 1 star!

This picture was taken at a Indian Muslim restaurant in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Dining high above the road traffic!

Ever thought how it feels dining high above the streets amidst the noise from the traffic and windy conditions?

One can experience this in Malacca where food & beverage stalls are placed in the centre of the pedestrian walkway bridges linking Melaka Sentral (central bus terminal) and TESCO hypermarket.

I guess it must be pretty noisy and dusty up there but safe from any vehicles. The only "traffic" up there would be the users of the bridge passing by and noisy.

Try it when visiting Malacca and could be en experience of a lifetime. Give it a try!

adding color to a wet morning!

What began as a dull and wet 1st September morning came alive whenwe saw this gentleman carrying a bright orange rather unique umbrella crossing the road and we took the opprotunity to add a little color to the day by sharing this picture.

It was an umbrella bearing a cartoon figure with the 2 years popping up!

SJK(C) Lai Meng Sports Day ~ 18 July 2009

School sports day was always a day of festivity with facade and colorful tents being constructed out of funds collected from the students within the sports house. For the leaders of the respective sports house, it presents an opportunity to getting a feel of being a future leader in looking for talent, motivate and prepare the next batch to assume the role.

The triumphant team would celebrate while the unfortunate looking forward to a re-match the following year. For the respective sports house, it presents a day to retain supremacy and if not, improve the position from the previous event.

That's was many years ago during school and with my children's school sports day this year, it provides me another opportunity to be on the "field" to capture the event on pictures although schooling days are over but learning experience still continues.

All geared up for the start of the event while a concerned parent observing her children from the side.

Pretty maids all in a row ~ all prepared for the cultural dance to be presented to the VIPs.

These are the flagbearers representing the colors of the sports hosue having fun while waiting for the event to start and they are sure young upstarts for Chingay!

Teams marching in and reciting their "war" calls.

VIPs declaring the meet open while releasing pigeons as a symbolic representation.

Karate exponents geared up for their moment

Your moment of truth has arrived, go and show your stuff!

Limbering up for the show with a kick.

The school Wushu exponents going through their routine accompanied by music representing a refreshing move from the common self defense act.

Preparing and fine tuning the music instrument.

The school marching band marching in to perform.

Ready, get set, go ...... the starter has always been the focal point for sports meet with their starter guns.

"I won it distance apart!"

We were this close, I swear!

Ever since Marina Chin hogged the limelights during her heydays, Malaysia had never seen another and perhaps she would be the future star.

Now, easy does it... balance!

An ice cream to cool the body down and never expected that it would get that messy!

Stay focused for the race!

Quick grab the ball and run to the finishing line!

Usain Bolt, here I come!

The flag dance?

Can't tolerate the wait for my event and rather warm up!

Officials disagreement but it's all smiles again!

Warming up for the two legged race and this is how we do it brother!

Are you ready Bro?

Look, they are ahead of us!

Guys, on battle stations please!

Pullllllllllll.......... 1,2, pulllllll.............. 1,2, pulllllllllll

We lost nevertheless, it was a good try!

A silver for a deserving job, well done!
