Chinese New Year Road Graffiti

Chinese Lunar New Year is incomplete without the firecrackers, fireworks and sparklers. Although the Government had banned firecrackers, we do hear the loud bangs during the period and wonders if the ban had been lifted.

With the ban imposed, it has taken the excitement from the kids celebrating while it has very much reduced the air of festivity which we once had back then. Nevertheless, the kids got a little creative in drawing graffiti on the roads using sparklers and the outcome are reflected on the pictures.

The kids had made it loud and clear that this is their grandma's house in the picture on top left with this territorial claim while inserting some road safety reminders in "going slow" in this residential area (top right).

There was a request to draw picture of an Ox but wat it turned out to be baffles everyone (above left). However, it was a great effort and creativity by the kids to keep the air of festivity and merriment alive .
