Gremlins in Melaka?

Remember the 1984 movie "Gremlins", a popular horror comical movie directed by Joe Dante? Well, it caught my imagination a little when I watched it way back then and quite enjoyed it though. It was mogwai ("evil spirit" in Chinese) which was given the name "Gizmo" in that movie.

The movie and mogwai(s) was far away from my memory till recently.




It was while travelling in Melaka a few days ago that I thought I would snap a picture of a palm tree which looks plain to me though. Not till I got home and my kid said "Dad, look it's a Gremlin!". I was like ???? As the palm tree was next to a burial ground and it's the 7th month of the Chinese calendar, it gives me even more reason to take a closer look.

After looking at it again and again, I found the above picture truly had similarities to the ever popular little character of the movie which I decided to share in this travel blog.
