Melaka Water Wheel

Located next to the up-coming tourist attraction of Bastion of Middleburg reconstruction, along Jalan Quayside, is one of the latest Melaka tourism attraction called the The Melaka Sultanate Water Wheel. Built at RM1.44million, the 13metre high water wheel will also feature a pond measuring 9 by 1.5 metres.

Water wheel was believe used the Melaka Sultanate days to scoop water from the river into the marine vessels. However, visitors would be able to see the water wheel in action complete with the clunking sound of the wheel in operation as the water is being scoop from the pond and poured back into the river.

This would be an added sight for diners at the Quayside Cafe & Seafood Restaurant along with the beautifully lit Melaka River and Jonker Walk across the river.
